Testimonies

“The greatest testimony for me is simply the change in perspective regarding God’s word. While reading the Word, I’ve taken my view off of myself and onto God and His story. The other thing is the habit I’ve gotten into with study. I study small chunks during the week and then a long session on Saturday mornings–I’ve come to cherish that Saturday time curled up with all of my materials around me and look forward to a time in my life that I can add more days like that. I LOVE breaking down scripture and digging in a little deeper. We’ve gotten such good tools to do so. Breaking scripture down, is my biggest goal for the remainder of the study and beyond. In the area of a woman’s role and femininity–I believe my thoughts have been line with what we studied so there wasn’t any “ouch” moments but mainly confirmation in what I already was practicing. The materials have been excellent–there hasn’t been one assignment that hasn’t been helpful in my growth or inspiring in some way. This Friday will be my last small group Woman Of The Word bible study. It’s been good for me to facilitate this group and I am thrilled to report that each one of them has shown dedication to the study in a way I didn’t expect.”

“When I committed to this study, I was hungry for both knowledge and practical tools that would grow my love and desire for the God who saved me. I knew enough to know that He called us to know and love Him so that we could praise Him and then tell others about His saving grace, but I didn’t know how to actually do those things. My understanding of God was basic, my prayer life was shallow but my longing for Him was deep.  It was through the process of the Adorn Study that I learned who God created me to be and what He called me to. I came to understand how to communicate with Him in prayer and how to counsel and speak to His people through community. I grasped my deep need for Him and his forgiveness which allowed me to extend forgiveness to others freely and relay to them the true hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was freed to embrace and walk in my identity in Christ  because I could finally comprehend what that meant. I am encouraged to walk boldly into the places God has for me, to trust Him without expectations for self, and to counsel others by the power of the Holy Spirit to come to accept and continue to trust in Christ.”

“Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

“Adorn has shown me how to study the bible more deeply. The deeper I dig into his word, the more treasure there is to find – about who God is, his heart toward me, and how to live my life. Adorn has given me more tools for prayer.  It has taught me that the holy spirit is my teacher and how to know when I am in step with the spirit. Galatians 5:22  I have learned that processing my day with God in prayer is beneficial.  When I do, I have confidence in who I am in Christ and in my purpose. Adorn has taught me that God’s word is to be used to build up the body. That I am to pursue others in the way that God pursued me in Christ – sacrificially, in love, humbly, in the power of the spirit. I have learned to forgive those who have hurt me in their sin and imperfections, and I have begun to learn how to rest in the forgiveness of Christ when I am faced with my own shortcomings. Thank you for your desire to disciple others and point them towards Christ.  This study has been so beneficial.”

“Adorn has served as a beautiful reminder that my daily is not about me at all. In my daily mundane, my mission should be to constantly bring Him glory. In my marriage, my parenting, my friendships, the people I’ve been entrusted with, responsibilities I’ve been entrusted with, etc.

This study has taken me from knowing the Truth to daily applying the Truth. Constant application, constant accountability. If you give this study your all, the gain will be absolutely eternal. Life changing. To Him be the glory.”
